Water-repellent materials

When making waterproof jackets, the choice of material is the most important factor. Most of Haglöf's waterproof jackets are made with membranes from GORE-TEX or Haglöf's own innovation and equivalent: PROOF™.

GORE-TEX

GORE-TEX is a well-known and durable material that effectively protects against water, wind and dirt. Clothing that is essentially waterproof is often made with GORE-TEX, such as shoes, trousers, jackets and gloves. The material has good breathability and is therefore well suited for outdoor clothing. Treating the jackets with PFCEC-free DWR treatment gives the garment extra strong weather protection.

Haglöfs' pride and joy is the PROOF™ innovation which, like GORE-TEX, offers comprehensive protection against wind, water and dirt. A major advantage is that the fabrics used in the manufacture of our PROOF™ products are either recycled or bluesign approved, which means they meet the highest environmental standards available in the textile industry.
