It’s springtime for mid-layers
3 flexible mid-layers for spontaneous day trips.
You don’t always have to travel far for a deep nature experience. We took advantage of the receding winter ice by riding the ferry to Utö in the Stockholm archipelago. There, we put some of our mid-layers to the test. Versatile and packable, the mid-layer makes a perfect companion for springtime adventures where wanderlust is high and shifting conditions are a given.
BUTEO MID
A classic mid-layer with excellent moisture management and insulation properties. It’s made of recycled polyester and has a smooth outer face which is optimal for layering.
MORA MID
An insulating mid-layer made out of extra soft and cozy microfleece. The practical half button-down front gives you flexible temperature control options.
RISBERG JACKET
A versatile mid-layer for everyday adventures. It combines a smooth knitted face for easy layering with an extra lofty inside for reliable insulation and comfort.
This is Utö
Located about an hour and a half outside Stockholm by ferry, Utö (Swedish for “Outer Island”) is a charming historical island that’s been around since the end of the ice age. Featuring rocky coastlines and thriving forests, it’s a peaceful escape from city life, where you can explore freely and ground yourself in the raw elements of nature. To get the seagull’s perspective, we recommend climbing the iconic Utö lighthouse, which offers stunning views of the Baltic Sea’s brackish waters.
