Tell us about your background:

Skiing has always been a central part of my life, ever since I was a child. I can still remember the excitement of hitting the slopes every year, even though we only went one to two weeks annually. Those trips were always the highlight of my year, fuelling my love for the mountains and the thrill of skiing.

My journey to where I am now begun in an auto repair shop. I worked as a mechanic, and it was there that I first discovered the world of vanlife. The idea of living a life on the road, with the freedom to explore, quickly captivated me. So, my girlfriend and I decided to take the plunge we built our own van, and from that moment, everything seemed to fall into place.

After many trips to our beloved neighbouring country, Norway, where we explored its rugged landscapes and summited countless peaks, we made the decision to move further north in search of new adventures. Norway’s wild beauty had a profound impact on us, and we knew that we wanted to immerse ourselves more fully in nature's wonders.

I eventually found myself in Åre, Sweden, where I began training to become a guide. The experience was transformative, offering me new perspectives on both the natural world and how to connect with others who share my love for the outdoors.

During my training, I had the incredible opportunity to do an internship with a company that sent me to Nepal. This trip was a game changer after experiencing the stunning landscapes and unique culture of the Himalayas, I knew my life would never be the same. Nepal has become a second home to me. Since that first journey, I've returned several times, averaging one to three months there each year.

Throughout my travels, I've had the privilege of summiting several six-thousand-meter peaks. Each climb has been a humbling experience, pushing my physical and mental limits while offering unparalleled views of the world from above.

What truly makes Nepal special, above all else, is the incredible people. Their warmth, kindness, and generosity are unlike anything I’ve experienced elsewhere. The genuine sense of community and the deep-rooted spirit of hospitality make every visit unforgettable. It's the people of Nepal who leave a lasting impression, and it’s their connection to life, nature, and each other that makes the country feel like a second home.

What was your craziest adventure or experience so far:

It’s a very difficult question to answer because every mountain leaves something unique and special behind. Each summit holds its own significance, offering a sense of accomplishment, a connection to nature, and unforgettable memories. The beauty, the challenges, and the lessons learned along the way make every mountain climb a deeply personal experience that lingers long after the journey ends.

If I had to choose, it would probably be the solo expedition my climbing partner Måns and I did on Cholatse, standing at 6,440 meters, completely alone. The experience was unlike anything else reaching that summit with just the two of us, in complete solitude, was a profound and humbling journey. The physical and mental challenges we faced, combined with the incredible beauty of the mountain, made it a moment that will stay with me forever.

Bucket list / Dream trip:
To ski a 8000 meter peak.

Why become a Haglöfs Ambassador:

I have always liked the brand and have had clothes from them for a long time. But in 2021, I attended the Haglöfs Film Festival, and it left me truly inspired. After that, I decided to keep the tickets on my van's refrigerator, so they were the first thing I saw every morning when I woke up. It became a daily reminder of that moment, fuelling my motivation and passion for the outdoors every day. I thought to myself, one day I will also be part of something like this and inspire others in the same way.

In 2024, that dream became a reality when we showed our own film, which we had made from our first expedition in the Himalayas.

PS. I also work in the Haglöfs brandstore in Åre.

What´s your favorite Haglöfs gear:

Vassi Mid Hood.

The best midlayer you can have! First and foremost, it's incredibly stylish and comfortable, but it’s also very technical. If you're, for example, out on a ski tour, it allows you to regulate your body temperature in a very efficient way. Whether you're climbing up or descending, this layer ensures you stay at the perfect temperature, making it an essential piece for any outdoor adventure.
