Waterproof Jackets for Outdoor Activities
Haglöfs’ ambition is to help you blend seamlessly into your surroundings, no matter the environment. The secret behind Haglöfs’ waterproof jackets lies in the details, often invisible to the untrained eye but a dream—and sometimes a lifesaver—for outdoor enthusiasts. The jackets are compatible with various equipment such as backpacks, climbing harnesses, helmets, lift passes, and small valuables. Features like water-repellent ventilation zippers under the arms allow you to regulate body temperature by releasing heat and moisture without letting in water. Adjustable hoods, waists, hips, and cuffs ensure you stay warm and dry when snow swirls or rain lashes against your body.
Water-Repellent Materials
The materials used in Haglöfs jackets are, of course, what make them waterproof. Most waterproof jackets are made with a GORE-TEX membrane or Haglöfs’ own PROOF™ membrane.
GORE-TEX
GORE-TEX is a durable material that effectively protects against wind, water, and dirt, commonly used in shoes, jackets, pants, and gloves. The technology behind GORE-TEX provides these benefits while maintaining optimal breathability, making it a reliable choice for our rain jackets. Combined with a PFCEC-free DWR treatment, the garments gain extra weather resistance with minimal environmental impact.
PROOF™
Haglöfs’ innovation and equivalent to GORE-TEX provide outstanding weather protection while offering excellent breathability. The pride lies in using fabrics that are either recycled or bluesign-approved, meeting the highest environmental standards in the textile industry. Haglöfs’ PROOF™ products have a water column rating between 10,000 and 20,000 mm, compared to everyday-use jackets, which usually have a rating of 2,000 mm. Products made with PROOF™ withstand harsh weather conditions!
