When you invest in a piece of high-performance outdoor gear, it's only natural that you want to take care of it - to make it last as long as possible. When our garments are being designed and made, and when the materials are chosen, we carefully consider how easy they should be to take care of. We build clothing and equipment to last: and we want you to get the most use from it as you can.
This is, of course, driven by the fact that we want our customers to be owners of gear that they can be proud of - something that's going to protect them from the elements season in, season out. But there's more to it than this. Long-lasting gear that's easy to take care of incorporates a sustainability element as well. Very often, it's better to re-use than replace - and by building longevity into our items we allow this to happen.
So, our clothes are made to be washed. They're made to be worn. And they will last even longer if they're stored correctly. Each garment and item comes with a label with care instructions - and on this page, you'll be able to find more general details.
The care instructions page gives advice on how to care for garments layer by layer, and by material. The latter point is particularly important - as we're constantly using and developing new materials with different care requirements, and they need to be looked after in certain ways in order for them to work properly.
Long-lasting garments reduce overall consumption - the ultimate sustainability! They don't need to be replaced and disposed of for a good long time. They prove their worth in more ways than anticipated. And they take care of you, as well as the environment. Follow the care instructions for your equipment to ensure their long-term usefulness and sustainability.
