This layer mainly has a warming function, but thanks to the multifunctional materials we use at Haglöfs, many of the mid-layers also have good moisture transport, breathability and are also quick-drying. Many of our mid-layers are made of fleece, such as quick-drying Polartec® fleece or microfleece, which provide optimal weight and warmth balance as well as good moisture transport and breathability.

The layer-on-layer principle helps you maintain the right body temperature during your adventures as it's easy to put on or take off the mid-layer as needed. In more everyday conditions, the midlayer is what keeps you warm to and from work, school or the gym. Versatile women's sweaters for outdoor activities

It's in the details. And it's actually the little details that make our midlayers and fleece sweaters so comfortable. Details like zippers with wind flaps for extra comfort, one-handed hem adjustment for a better fit, and pockets that are lined and conveniently placed are important amenities we don't skimp on.
We sew our mid-layers with offset shoulder and side seams, or raglan sleeves, to give you maximum comfort when wearing a backpack without the seams rubbing against your skin. Flatlock seams give the mid-layer a better fit and minimize the risk of chafing even when the garment is close to the skin. Some models have hoods to protect you from wind and cold on cold days, while other models have high collars or are collarless to be worn comfortably under the outer layer. For heart-pumping activities, many of our mid-layers keep you dry thanks to good moisture transport and quick-drying materials. To enable you to engage in challenging activities that require extra agility and precision in your movements, we've made sure that most of our garments offer stretch throughout for increased freedom of movement.
