During the manufacturing and design of Haglöfs Ski trousers and snowboard Ski trousers, the focus is on ensuring the trousers function as protection against wind, water, and snow – all of which are plentiful out on the slopes. We offer Ski trousers equipped with GORE-TEX or PROOF™; both materials are completely waterproof and windproof while also providing excellent breathability. How you dress will affect your experience on the slopes or in the mountains – which is why Haglöfs never compromises on the quality of our ski clothing!
The different features of Ski trousers
Ski trousers need certain features to withstand more demanding weather conditions, and our goal is that the trousers from Haglöfs meet the requirements you set for a truly great pair of Ski trousers. Here you’ll find durable Ski trousers with double lining that keep you warm while added ventilation helps the garment breathe during intense skiing. For downhill skiing, the garments have carefully placed pockets so you can quickly and easily access your lift pass, phone, or anything else you want close at hand. Other appreciated features include extra stretch for smooth movement, reinforcements on areas like the seat and thighs, adjustable waist with Velcro for extra comfort, snow gaiters, adjustable leg ends, and windproof and waterproof materials and finishes. Trousers with an integrated RECCO reflector allow rescue personnel to find you using a detector if you get lost or have an accident in the mountains.
Choose the right Ski trousers for the right activity
It can sometimes be difficult to know which type of Ski trousers to choose. It naturally depends on what kind of skiing you plan to do. Trousers with stretch improve mobility, and an adjustable waist maximizes comfort regardless of the type of skiing. For downhill, slalom, or off-piste skiing, you may want sturdier Ski trousers that retain warmth and resist wind and cold. When cross-country skiing, your body temperature can rise quickly, and layering can therefore be a good idea, making thinner trousers suitable. Start with a base layer close to your skin, preferably wool thanks to its moisture-wicking properties, and add a warming midlayer such as a fleece vest if it’s chilly outside. Finish with a windproof jacket or another functional jacket on top. Whether you ski downhill, uphill, or cross-country, your Ski trousers should be both windproof and waterproof to protect you from changing weather conditions.
