Merino wool - warm, breathable and moisture-wicking

Several of Haglöf's base layers for men are made of mulesing-free merino wool. Merino wool provides optimal thermal insulation and good fit and is therefore a commonly used material in base layers for colder climates. The versatility of the wool allows you to maintain a comfortable body temperature during long days on the ski slopes or during summit tours, while the material breathes and provides optimal moisture transport so that you do not feel sweaty and cold during and after strenuous activities.

The function of the base layer in layer-on-layer use

While the base layer mainly has a moisture- and heat-wicking function, the mid-layer has a warming function. The outer layer, consisting of shell garments, is the layer that protects against wind and moisture.
