Sleeping bags for winter
Depending on what time of year you'll be spending the night in the great outdoors, it's vital that the performance of your sleeping bag is optimised.
Temperature-tested sleeping bags for winter
Almost all sleeping bags available in Sweden follow a temperature grading standard called EN-13537 – a European standard designed to specify sleeping bag temperatures. Thanks to this standard, you can easily compare different sleeping bag options based on your personal needs. The various ratings are:
- Comfort temperature – the lowest possible temperature for average-built women to sleep comfortably in the sleeping bag.
- Limit temperature – the temperature at which an average-built man can spend the night in the sleeping bag without getting too cold.
- Extreme temperature – the temperature at which an average-built woman can survive for 6 hours in the sleeping bag.
