Hybrid sleeping bags
With a hybrid sleeping bag, you get the best of both worlds - the feel, warmth and softness of down combined with the water-repellent properties of synthetics.
Down or synthetic – or both?
A down sleeping bag is often more lightweight and takes up less space in the backpack compared to synthetic sleeping bags. However, technology is slowly but surely advancing, and today there are actually many synthetic sleeping bags that are relatively lightweight. Down generates the most heat relative to weight and volume but is also more expensive. A synthetic sleeping bag is preferable in humid climates because it retains heat better than down sleeping bags when wet. In other words, there are quite a few pros and cons to both options, which can make the choice overwhelming.
