Niklas Hollsten from Kimitoisland in the Finnish archipelago is one of the best big mountain snowboarders in Scandinavia, 2010 he won the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships in Riksgränsen and had a third place in the Freeride World Qualifier ranking 2010.
Niklas is grown up on an island in the Finnish archipelago and his home "mountain" Meriteijo is only 85 meters high, so sometimes it is really hard to understand that he has become a big mountain snowboarder.
Nowadays Niklas is based in Mallnitz, Austria wintertime, from where he travels around the globe for freeridecompetitions and steep riding in untouched snow.
This winter, Niklas has made four first decents in the mountains around Mallnitz. Almost all the time Niklas is searching for new steep couloirs to hike and ride.
