Haglöfs has won the Outdoor Industry Award for its new jacket Gram Comp Pull. The award was presented at a ceremony at the OutDoor fair in Friedrichshafen - the leading international sports and outdoor trade show that takes place in July every year. The jury, comprising international sport journalists as well as experts from trade and design, chose Haglöfs' jacket based on criteria such as innovation, design and performance.
The jacket will be launched on the market during spring 2013 and was presented for the first time during the fair. Gram Comp Pull is designed with ruthless minimalism. Every detail has a function and a raison d'être, each carefully selected to reduce weight and focus on functionality. Gram Comp Pull is probably the lightest hooded Gore-Tex ™ Active Shell jacket ever made and it weighs only about 200 g in men's size M.
"The simplest things can sometimes be the hardest to create. We combined all our experience and knowledge to engineer a jacket from just two pieces of fabric for the main body, which saves weight and adds breathability. Lowest possible weight combined with pure function was our goal, and this award is gratefully received as an acknowledgement that our hard work has paid off", says Fredrik Lundberg, strategic design manager at Haglöfs.
