A GREAT ADVENTURE RACE IN MAGNIFICENT SURROUNDINGS

HÅEC was Scandinavia's first multisport competition; 2012 was its 16th year in a row. The competition is held in Åre's magnificent surroundings and comprises canoeing, running and cycling. The start is at Tännforsen falls from where contestants canoe along the Indalsälven river out into Åre lake, and then switch to running at Åre square. After running across Åreskutan down to Huså, contestants continue by bicycle back to Åre and cross the finishing line in the town square.
