SCANDINAVIAN BIG MOUNTAIN CHAMPIONSHIPS

THE GRANDE FINALE OF THE EUROPEAN FREESKIING SEASON IN RIKSGRÄNSEN

Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships is the world's oldest and most prestigious free skiing competition, and this year it will be arranged May 14-16.  It has attracted many of the world's top skiers and snowboarders through the years. From 2012, Haglöfs has taken over as head sponsor for this event in Riksgränsen. The Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships have been arranged since 1992 and it is not just a competition but also the grande finale of the European free skiing season. The competition is open to everyone who wants to (and dares to) enter the qualifications.

The 2012 competitions were held in an amazing weather and we were there with a snow bar and a nice hangout for everyone who was up on the mountain. Our Haglöfs friend Per Jonsson made everything even better by winning the telemark class.
